The União Caparica fans' excitement grew in the 3rd match minute when União Caparica's Hélder Quintas looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. A collision led to Antoninhos do Condado getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Aquilino Ponte hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Antoninhos do Condado defense, Albert Karapetkov kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of André Ribeiro. The Antoninhos do Condado fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that André Ribeiro should have stopped the shot. Zeferino Avelar hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. André Ribeiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from António Viegas, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. In the 18th minute Albert Karapetkov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but André Ribeiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Antoninhos do Condado defense, Albert Karapetkov kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of André Ribeiro. The Antoninhos do Condado fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that André Ribeiro should have stopped the shot. Hélder Quintas kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Antoninhos do Condado's André Ribeiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albert Karapetkov in the 28th minute of play. Zeferino Avelar scored 0-5 in the 36th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of André Ribeiro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Valdemar Henriques had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. André Ribeiro came out of the goal in the 44th minute to try and stop a shot by União Caparica's Albert Karapetkov. But to his dismay, Albert Karapetkov quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-6. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-6.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mateus Belo to make the kick off. In the 51st minute, União Caparica's Artur Horta ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind André Ribeiro. André Ribeiro yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-7. Valdemar Henriques fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sidónio Maltez having to interfere. When Luís Saraiva fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Antoninhos do Condado's protests and gave Luís Saraiva a yellow card for diving instead. After 57 played minutes Antoninhos do Condado got a freekick which was hit by Luís Saraiva. André Ribeiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hélder Quintas in the 57th minute of play. After 58 played minutes Antoninhos do Condado got a freekick which was hit by Aquilino Ponte. After 62 minutes of play, União Caparica's Artur Horta made it 0-8 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. André Ribeiro was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 64th play minute Albert Karapetkov came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised André Ribeiro. 0-9. In the 68th minute Artur Horta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but André Ribeiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. União Caparica's Sidónio Maltez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valdemar Henriques in the 73rd minute of play. In the 74th minute, Artur Horta reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of André Ribeiro. The goal made the score 0-10. An unexpectedly hard shot by Artur Horta in the 79th minute of play forced Antoninhos do Condado's goalkeeper André Ribeiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Antoninhos do Condado getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Valdemar Henriques hit a great ball. Antoninhos do Condado's defense didn't have a chance, in the 85th minute, when Artur Horta scored to the left of an out of position André Ribeiro, making the score, 0-12. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Artur Horta in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg André Ribeiro saved Antoninhos do Condado from getting behind. When the match had gone on for 92 minutes, Albert Karapetkov took a quick shot and it went in 0-13 without a chance for André Ribeiro to make any attempt to save it. Mateus Belo struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Sidónio Maltez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Antoninhos do Condado.
