In the 7th minute Flávio Lessa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but André Ribeiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Caio Caldas got free with André Ribeiro in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Valdemar Henriques fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rafael Franco having to interfere. If Mateus Belo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 16th minute, Caio Caldas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. André Ribeiro was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jorge Rego got free with André Ribeiro in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mateus Belo struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Rafael Franco didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Antoninhos do Condado. In the 24th minute, Valdemar Henriques got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Canario FC's Rafael Franco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valdemar Henriques in the 27th minute of play. 28 minutes into the match, Flávio Lessa dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of André Ribeiro, 2-0. In the 31st match minute, Canario FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Flávio Lessa to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Claudemiro Noronha during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Maksim Púntov took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 33rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Rafael Franco. Canario FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 37 minutes into the match, Mateus Belo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rafael Franco. Canario FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mateus Belo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Maksim Púntov charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Maksim Púntov the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Maksim Púntov hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mateus Belo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Antoninhos do Condado's Luís Saraiva suffered a concussion after 61 minutes and had to leave the field. Flávio Lessa's late challenge caught a Antoninhos do Condado's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Flávio Lessa helped the player get up and apologised. After 62 played minutes Canario FC got a freekick which was hit by Flávio Lessa. In the 66th minute, Flávio Lessa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Canario FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. André Ribeiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Flávio Lessa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 73 minutes into the match, Antoninhos do Condado's goal looked a bit too open when Caio Caldas came free, but André Ribeiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 75th minute, João Nóbrega hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Raul Carvalhais recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Aquilino Ponte hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Aquilino Ponte's late challenge caught a Canario FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aquilino Ponte helped the player get up and apologised. In the 86th minute there was a penalty for Canario FC. João Nóbrega stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving André Ribeiro. 5-1. André Ribeiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Flávio Lessa, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute.
