After 9 minutes of play, Encourados's Vítor Mesquita made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. In the 21st minute, Teodoro Quental got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 24 minutes into the game, Ricardo Brites cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Jaime Falcão was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 29 minutes into the game, Geraldo Ramires was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Encourados's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave MONEY the free kick. Geraldo Ramires kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. In the 30th match minute, Encourados was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teodoro Quental to maneuver through the defense. Catarino Ferreira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Portugal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, MONEY's Jaime Falcão got control of the ball when Vítor Mesquita tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jaime Falcão came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by Encourados's Vítor Mesquita. But to his dismay, Vítor Mesquita quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Altino Damásio in the 44th minute of play forced MONEY's goalkeeper Jaime Falcão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Encourados getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Lucas Queiroga hit a great ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Altino Damásio made a kick off. Vítor Mesquita struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Jaime Falcão didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Encourados. Geraldo Ramires kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Altino Damásio in the 54th minute of play forced MONEY's goalkeeper Jaime Falcão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the MONEY defense, Vítor Mesquita kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jaime Falcão. The MONEY fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jaime Falcão should have stopped the shot. Jaime Falcão stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Altino Damásio's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. MONEY's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-0. 74 minutes into the match, MONEY's goal looked a bit too open when Altino Damásio came free, but Jaime Falcão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
