This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Osvaldo Alvarenga as he didn't even see the shot coming. Torcato Macena kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. In the 7th minute, Silvestre Silva left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The C A Casével fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. A collision led to C A Casével getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Alex França hit a great ball. Osvaldo Alvarenga was a little too slow when Alex França got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 14th minute. The score was now 3-0. André França hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Silvestre Silva got free with Osvaldo Alvarenga in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 23 played minutes C A Casével got a freekick which was hit by Lázaro Moreira. Red Star Monção's Luís Oliveira got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 28 played minutes, Red Star Monção's Lourenço Vieira shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Hermes Pestana came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Red Star Monção reached it. 30 minutes into the match, C A Casével's goal looked a bit too open when John Wayne came free, but Hermes Pestana reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that John Wayne's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hermes Pestana was relentless in the 40th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Red Star Monção's zone, Isaac Jusepe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Osvaldo Alvarenga came out of the goal and Isaac Jusepe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Isaac Jusepe stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Lázaro Moreira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Osvaldo Alvarenga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Osvaldo Alvarenga didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alex França went, in the 53rd minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. A collision led to C A Casével getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Paulo Cruz hit a great ball. 63 minutes into the game, Fábio Jesus was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Red Star Monção's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave C A Casével the free kick. In the 66th minute Lázaro Moreira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Osvaldo Alvarenga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Osvaldo Alvarenga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lázaro Moreira, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. After 86 minutes of play, C A Casével's Isaac Jusepe made it 9-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Osvaldo Alvarenga was left in no man's land by his defense there! Osvaldo Alvarenga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alex França in the 93rd minute of the match. In the 95th minute of the match Torcato Macena sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Osvaldo Alvarenga skillfully saved the ball. C A Casével's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
