The Sobrado FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Herberto Fernandes should have stopped the shot. Alcala FC's Homero Sarmento was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 64th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Herberto Fernandes made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Sébastien Haller sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Valentim Domingos got free with Herberto Fernandes in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 74th minute, Homero Sarmento fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Herberto Fernandes, passed just outside the right post. Alcala FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
