Teófilo Ferrão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luís Oliveira, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. In the 5thth minute of the game John Wayne who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Real Marim's Teófilo Ferrão was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Red Star Monção's John Wayne, in the 5th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Red Star Monção. Teófilo Ferrão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luís Oliveira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Real Marim's defense didn't have a chance, in the 14th minute, when Luís Oliveira scored to the left of an out of position Teófilo Ferrão, making the score, 1-0. After a rather tough play, Real Marim's Laureano Quinaz got a free kick in the 22nd minute. 27 minutes into the match, Real Marim's goal looked a bit too open when Luís Oliveira came free, but Teófilo Ferrão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Teófilo Ferrão came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by Red Star Monção's John Wayne. But to his dismay, John Wayne quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. 35 minutes into the game, Olívio Nóbrega cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Osvaldo Alvarenga was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 38 minutes, Olívio Nóbrega mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Real Marim and the Red Star Monção players grew even worse after the yellow card. Olívio Nóbrega kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. If Olívio Nóbrega had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Osvaldo Alvarenga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leal Seabra in the 44th minute of play. Teófilo Ferrão made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when John Wayne sent off a good shot on target. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Olívio Nóbrega made a kick off. 52 minutes into the game, John Wayne was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Red Star Monção's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Real Marim the free kick. After a rather tough play, Red Star Monção's John Wayne got a free kick in the 52nd minute. After 60 played minutes Real Marim got a freekick which was hit by Gentil Arruda. Teodoro Lameiras scored 3-1 in the 62nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Teófilo Ferrão, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 66 minutes into the match, Real Marim's goal looked a bit too open when Andaka Babalov came free, but Teófilo Ferrão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Teófilo Ferrão didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Andaka Babalov went, in the 69th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. After 76 played minutes Red Star Monção got a freekick which was hit by Teodoro Lameiras. Real Marim's Teófilo Ferrão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andaka Babalov in the 81st minute of play. Teófilo Ferrão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andaka Babalov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 84th minute, Luís Oliveira ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Teófilo Ferrão was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-1. Osvaldo Alvarenga made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Olívio Nóbrega sent off a good shot on target. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Red Star Monção fully deserved thier win.
