Osvaldo Alvarenga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Timóteo Santiago, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 20 minutes into the game, Andaka Babalov was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Red Star Monção's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sobrado FC the free kick. In the 23rd match minute, Red Star Monção was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lourenço Vieira to maneuver through the defense. In the 25th minute, Timóteo Santiago ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Igor Galvão was the one to do the kick off.
