Belchior Valverde hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Red Star Monção's zone, Belchior Valverde stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Osvaldo Alvarenga came out of the goal and Belchior Valverde tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 12th minute, Luís Oliveira made a precise shot to the right of Ervin Nyíri. AlmaLusa's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 17th minute Luís Oliveira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ervin Nyíri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 18 minutes into the game, John Wayne cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Ervin Nyíri was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ervin Nyíri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luís Oliveira, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. In the 29th minute of the game Vasco Resende made a throw-in which Andaka Babalov played forward. AlmaLusa's 鲁建默 got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Belchior Valverde received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Osvaldo Alvarenga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 43 minutes into the match, 鲁建默 notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Red Star Monção's Osvaldo Alvarenga. Osvaldo Alvarenga was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Lourenço Vieira hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match.

Arne Bus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, AlmaLusa's Göran Nässén got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Ervin Nyíri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from John Wayne in the 69th minute of play. After 75 played minutes AlmaLusa got a freekick which was hit by Szymon Hludzenski. 78 minutes had been played when some careless play by AlmaLusa's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Teodoro Lameiras was slow to take the kick. During this time Red Star Monção's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Teodoro Lameiras got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ervin Nyíri quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The audience was convinced that John Wayne's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ervin Nyíri was relentless in the 81st minute of the game. Ervin Nyíri stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of John Wayne's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. Göran Nässén fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Osvaldo Alvarenga having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers John Wayne in the 95th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ervin Nyíri saved AlmaLusa from getting behind. After 96 minutes AlmaLusa's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Teodoro Lameiras who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Paul Newman got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ervin Nyíri quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
