In the 2nd minute, Rodolfo Leite got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 4th minute, Torcato Rebocho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Porfírio Pais was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Porfírio Pais came out of the goal in the 7th minute to try and stop a shot by Garanhão do SUL's Edgar Costa. But to his dismay, Edgar Costa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Salvador Lousada during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Salvador Lousada kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. In the 15th minute Virgílio Teves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Porfírio Pais saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 17th minute, Edgar Costa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Porfírio Pais was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. In the 27th minute, U.C.Olhalvo's Oscar Cardoso ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ignatius Casasola. Ignatius Casasola yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-3. U.C.Olhalvo's Porfírio Pais played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Salvador Lousada in the 30th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Valério Brites got free with Ignatius Casasola in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Edgar Costa took the ball and in the 34 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Porfírio Pais. Porfírio Pais dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. The supporters of U.C.Olhalvo booed when Garanhão do SUL was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fábio Lobato didn't get a good kick on the ball. Porfírio Pais made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Torcato Rebocho in the 46th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-5 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Valério Brites to make the kick off. U.C.Olhalvo's Porfírio Pais proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save U.C.Olhalvo from getting a goal against them. Edgar Costa came free with the goalkeeper in the 58th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Porfírio Pais could save by the left post. A collision led to U.C.Olhalvo getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Valério Brites hit a great ball. The supporters of Garanhão do SUL booed when U.C.Olhalvo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valério Brites didn't get a good kick on the ball. Porfírio Pais made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edgar Costa in the 66th minute of play. Garanhão do SUL's André Roriz was substituted for Edgar Costa. After 72 played minutes Garanhão do SUL got a freekick which was hit by Cassiano Telinhos. Porfírio Pais took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Virgílio Teves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 82 minutes into the game, Virgílio Teves cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-6. Porfírio Pais was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Porfírio Pais came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by Garanhão do SUL's Virgílio Teves. But to his dismay, Virgílio Teves quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-7. Valério Brites sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The U.C.Olhalvo fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Garanhão do SUL were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
