The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Virgílio Teves in the 3rd minute of play forced SC Mouguelas's goalkeeper Éder Matos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Éder Matos didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Garanhão do SUL's Torcato Rebocho shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-1 in the ordered_time% minute. Éder Matos didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Virgílio Teves went, in the 6th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. When the match clock showed 14 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Virgílio Teves sped through SC Mouguelas's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Éder Matos. After 17 minutes of play, Garanhão do SUL's Virgílio Teves made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Éder Matos was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Virgílio Teves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 23rd minute Garanhão do SUL were awarded a corner. Cassiano Telinhos went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Garanhão do SUL's Cassiano Telinhos to fire away a dangerous shot which Éder Matos despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 26th minute, Akis Kefallinos made a precise shot to the right of Éder Matos. SC Mouguelas's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-5. Éder Matos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Virgílio Teves's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. Edgar Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 38 minutes into the match, SC Mouguelas's goal looked a bit too open when Virgílio Teves came free, but Éder Matos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 42 minutes into the match, Garanhão do SUL's Edgar Costa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Éder Matos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Garanhão do SUL's Virgílio Teves got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Éder Matos came out of the goal in the 47th minute to try and stop a shot by Garanhão do SUL's Virgílio Teves. But to his dismay, Virgílio Teves quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-6.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Carlos Salgueiro made a kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Graciano Guerreiro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Mouguelas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Garanhão do SUL the free kick. In the 52nd match minute, SC Mouguelas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Graciano Guerreiro to maneuver through the defense. 53 minutes into the game, Virgílio Teves cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-7. Éder Matos was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Virgílio Teves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 62nd minute, Garanhão do SUL's André Roriz ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Éder Matos. Éder Matos yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-8. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, André Roriz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Garanhão do SUL's supporters rose to their feet, but André Roriz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Éder Matos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Amado Vigário fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Éder Matos having to interfere. In the 70th match minute, SC Mouguelas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Torcato Aragão to maneuver through the defense. In the 71st minute, Albano Leizarraga got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. André Roriz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Éder Matos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When André Roriz came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Garanhão do SUL fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that André Roriz couldn't finish the play. 81 minutes into the game, Garanhão do SUL's Albano Leizarraga nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Éder Matos made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-9. André Roriz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 88 minutes into the game, Aloísio Garcez cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-10. Éder Matos was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Éder Matos was out of position in the 93 minute of play, and André Roriz capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. André Roriz really showed his touch with that goal: 0-11.
