Flávio Guimarães received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Germano Lousada tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Danilo Ramos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Lúcio Balsemão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 15 minutes into the match, UC Eirense's Danilo Ramos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lúcio Balsemão narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Germano Lousada made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacob Regalado in the 28th minute of play. When Flávio Guimarães came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Cartaxo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Flávio Guimarães couldn't finish the play. UC Eirense's Germano Lousada played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jacob Regalado in the 35th minute of play. After having played for 40 minutes, Danilo Ramos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. UC Eirense's supporters crossed their fingers, but Danilo Ramos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Francisco Vilaça could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Germano Lousada made a huge save. Jacob Regalado struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Germano Lousada didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cartaxo. Benedito Melo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jacob Regalado was the one to do the kick off. Cartaxo's Jacob Regalado got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 69th minute Diogo Palma shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lúcio Balsemão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jacob Regalado in the 72nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Germano Lousada saved UC Eirense from getting behind. Germano Lousada made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacob Regalado in the 75th minute of play. 79 minutes into the game, Flávio Guimarães cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Germano Lousada was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of Cartaxo booed when UC Eirense was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Danilo Ramos didn't get a good kick on the ball. 84 minutes into the match, UC Eirense's goal looked a bit too open when Flávio Guimarães came free, but Germano Lousada reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Germano Lousada made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacob Regalado in the 86th minute of play. In the 87thth minute of the game Flávio Guimarães who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but UC Eirense's Germano Lousada was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Cartaxo booed when UC Eirense was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Honorato Palhares didn't get a good kick on the ball. There was no doubt that Cartaxo were the better team. Cartaxo's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
