Germano Lousada made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Marcinho Mineiro sent off a good shot on target. In the 36th match minute, UC Eirense was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benedito Melo to maneuver through the defense. Germano Lousada made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nuno Tomas in the 37th minute of play. 39 minutes into the match, UC Eirense's goal looked a bit too open when Gusmão Alcântara came free, but Germano Lousada reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kevin Ponte got free with Germano Lousada in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee ignored UC Eirense's protests and gave Benedito Melo a yellow card for diving instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcinho Mineiro in the 63rd minute of play forced UC Eirense's goalkeeper Germano Lousada to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Teixugueira booed when UC Eirense was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Xavier Azenha didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to UC Eirense getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Benedito Melo hit a great ball. Guido Leheren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute.
