Lúcio Balsemão was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With his leg Lúcio Balsemão managed to avoid a goal in the 16thth minute, when PEROSINHO F.C.'s Jesualdo Meireles fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 22 minutes into the match, PEROSINHO F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Jacob Regalado came free, but Emílio Carrasqueira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 26 minutes of play, Cartaxo's Antero Leite made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Emílio Carrasqueira was left in no man's land by his defense there! The crowd rose to their feet as Mateus Jesus kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Lúcio Balsemão. That made the score 2-1 in the 28 minute of play. Jesualdo Meireles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mateus Jesus in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lúcio Balsemão saved Cartaxo from getting behind. Jesualdo Meireles's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 32ndth minute, Lúcio Balsemão skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Jacob Regalado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Francisco Vilaça fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cartaxo's protests and gave Francisco Vilaça a yellow card for diving instead. Emílio Carrasqueira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jacob Regalado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Emílio Carrasqueira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Flávio Guimarães in the 45th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jacob Regalado to strike the kick off in the second half. Through an outstanding action, after 53 minutes, Emílio Carrasqueira successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. PEROSINHO F.C.'s Emílio Carrasqueira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jacob Regalado in the 54th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jesualdo Meireles in the 55th minute of play forced Cartaxo's goalkeeper Lúcio Balsemão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Flávio Guimarães got free with Emílio Carrasqueira in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Lúcio Balsemão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mateus Jesus in the 58th minute of the match. In the 60th minute, Antero Leite hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 69 minutes into the match, PEROSINHO F.C.'s goalkeeper Emílio Carrasqueira had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Flávio Guimarães. Flávio Guimarães's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Emílio Carrasqueira read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. PEROSINHO F.C.'s Emílio Carrasqueira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save PEROSINHO F.C. from getting a goal against them. The PEROSINHO F.C. fans' excitement grew in the 77th match minute when PEROSINHO F.C.'s Mateus Jesus looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Lúcio Balsemão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mateus Jesus, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 82 minutes of play Cartaxo's Francisco Vilaça was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Francisco Vilaça kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Jacob Regalado took the ball and in the 87 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Emílio Carrasqueira. Emílio Carrasqueira dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. Flávio Guimarães could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Emílio Carrasqueira made a huge save. Lúcio Balsemão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jesualdo Meireles, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. Cartaxo's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
