Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) In the 3rdth minute of the game David Soveral who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cartaxo's Lúcio Balsemão was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 3 minutes into the match, Cartaxo's goal looked a bit too open when Nélson Matias came free, but Lúcio Balsemão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 5 minutes had been played when some careless play by Cartaxo's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. The supporters of Cartaxo booed when Sport Açores e Benfica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ademar Carvalho didn't get a good kick on the ball. David Soveral had several of the Cartaxo's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 71 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sport Açores e Benfica's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
