Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Cartaxo's Lúcio Balsemão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Donato Carneiro in the 4th minute of play. Lúcio Balsemão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ivan Garcez in the 5th minute of the match. In the 6th minute, Tomé Júdice left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SC Alqueva fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Donato Carneiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Cartaxo getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Sandro Mourinho hit a great ball. Flávio Guimarães came free with the goalkeeper in the 12th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Hermenegildo Peseiro could save by the left post. After a defensive mix-up in SC Alqueva's zone, Flávio Guimarães stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hermenegildo Peseiro came out of the goal and Flávio Guimarães tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. SC Alqueva's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Antero Leite 15 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-1. When SC Alqueva's Tomé Júdice in the 18th minute got a chance for a shot 18th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Cartaxo's goalie prevented a goal. In the 29th minute of the match, Jacob Regalado tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Hermenegildo Peseiro saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Alqueva's goalkeeper Hermenegildo Peseiro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacob Regalado in the 32nd minute of play forced SC Alqueva's goalkeeper Hermenegildo Peseiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Cartaxo getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Palmiro Brito hit a great ball. Lúcio Balsemão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomé Júdice in the 37th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Flávio Guimarães kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Hermenegildo Peseiro. That made the score 2-2 in the 39 minute of play. 43 minutes into the match, Cartaxo's goal looked a bit too open when Tomé Júdice came free, but Lúcio Balsemão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 45 minutes into the match, SC Alqueva's goal looked a bit too open when Jacob Regalado came free, but Hermenegildo Peseiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lúcio Balsemão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Donato Carneiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

In the 58th minute, Donato Carneiro made a precise shot to the right of Lúcio Balsemão. Cartaxo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-4. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Honorato Lisboa in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lúcio Balsemão saved Cartaxo from getting behind. In the 63rd minute Jacob Regalado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hermenegildo Peseiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 65th minute, Donato Carneiro reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Lúcio Balsemão. The goal made the score 2-5. 68 minutes into the game, Francisco Vilaça cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-5. Hermenegildo Peseiro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Tomé Júdice came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the SC Alqueva fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomé Júdice couldn't finish the play. When the match clock showed 75 minutes, the score became 3-6 when Donato Carneiro sped through Cartaxo's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Lúcio Balsemão. 78 minutes into the game, Tomé Júdice cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-7. Lúcio Balsemão was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 85 minutes into the match, Antero Leite had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hermenegildo Peseiro. Cartaxo's Lúcio Balsemão proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Cartaxo from getting a goal against them. 89 minutes into the game, Donato Carneiro recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Lúcio Balsemão. Donato Carneiro showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-8. Tomé Júdice's late challenge caught a Cartaxo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tomé Júdice helped the player get up and apologised. In the 93rd match minute, SC Alqueva was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomé Júdice to maneuver through the defense. Hermenegildo Peseiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacob Regalado in the 96th minute of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched SC Alqueva eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
