The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Normando Sobral charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Normando Sobral the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Altares FC booed when SC Fragua was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Normando Sobral didn't get a good kick on the ball. Homero Simões took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 21st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for José Fontoura. SC Fragua's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 22 minutes into the match, Homero Simões notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of SC Fragua's José Fontoura. José Fontoura was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

José Fontoura showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Homero Simões in the 97th minute of the match. The SC Fragua fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Altares FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
