Gaspar Linhares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aveiro FC's Gil Gouveia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abel Moreno in the 27th minute of play. Gil Gouveia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matías Vianna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Leça da Palmeira F.C's Durval Liberato proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Leça da Palmeira F.C from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, Leça da Palmeira F.C's Durval Liberato got control of the ball when Gaspar Linhares tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gaspar Linhares got free with Durval Liberato in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Durval Liberato stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gaspar Linhares's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. Aveiro FC's Gil Gouveia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abel Moreno in the 92nd minute of play. The Leça da Palmeira F.C supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Leça da Palmeira F.C would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
