Jairo Mansilha didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lázaro Azevedo went, in the 10th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Jairo Mansilha came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by SC Cortinhas's Rubim Quintanilha. But to his dismay, Rubim Quintanilha quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. When the match had gone on for 17 minutes, Lázaro Azevedo took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Jairo Mansilha to make any attempt to save it. After 20 minutes of play, SC Cortinhas's Lázaro Azevedo made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jairo Mansilha was left in no man's land by his defense there! 26 minutes into the match, Altares FC's goal looked a bit too open when Joaquim Guerreiro came free, but Jairo Mansilha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Joaquim Guerreiro, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 26 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Jairo Mansilha was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Jairo Mansilha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lázaro Azevedo in the 29th minute of the match. Silvestre Teles made in the 34th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Amado Cunha however managed to control. In the 35th minute Lázaro Azevedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jairo Mansilha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 47th minute, Rubim Quintanilha got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

The wind increased when Homero Simões made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Lázaro Azevedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jairo Mansilha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 53rd minute, Joaquim Guerreiro made a precise shot to the right of Jairo Mansilha. Altares FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-0. After 56 minutes, Adélio Macedo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Altares FC and the SC Cortinhas players grew even worse after the yellow card. Adélio Macedo kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Altares FC's Claudemiro Aguiar got a free kick in the 57th minute. When SC Cortinhas's Lázaro Azevedo, in the 61st minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for SC Cortinhas. 63 minutes into the match, Gervásio Alcântara had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jairo Mansilha. Altares FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gervásio Alcântara was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 9-0. SC Cortinhas's attentive Carlos Corte-Real managed to snatch the ball when Pedro Bernardes made a throw-in in the 67th minute of the game. In the 70th minute, Lázaro Azevedo made a precise shot to the right of Jairo Mansilha. Altares FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 10-0. Lázaro Azevedo took the ball and in the 76 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jairo Mansilha. Jairo Mansilha dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 11-0. SC Cortinhas made a substitution. Aristides Garcez replaced André Carneiro. Timóteo Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Homero Simões in the 81st minute of play. After some careless play in the Altares FC defense, Joaquim Guerreiro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jairo Mansilha. The Altares FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jairo Mansilha should have stopped the shot. Altares FC's Adélio Macedo got his second yellow card of the match in the 87th minute. The referee ordered Adélio Macedo off the ground. Adélio Macedo kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Silvestre Teles kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Jairo Mansilha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aristides Garcez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 96 minutes into the match, Altares FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gervásio Ferro came free, but Jairo Mansilha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of SC Cortinhas booed when Altares FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Caio Vasconcelos didn't get a good kick on the ball. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. SC Cortinhas had played much better football throughout.
