Gil Gouveia came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by FC DUDU's Carlos Quental. But to his dismay, Carlos Quental quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Hakan Şükür sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 34th minute Carlos Quental shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gil Gouveia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aveiro FC's Gil Gouveia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hakan Şükür in the 39th minute of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gaspar Linhares to strike the kick off in the second half. Higino Barata kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hakan Şükür in the 58th minute of play forced Aveiro FC's goalkeeper Gil Gouveia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Carlos Quental's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gil Gouveia was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Aveiro FC's Hilário Albuquerque got a free kick in the 61st minute. Gil Gouveia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Quental in the 64th minute of the match. 65 minutes into the match, FC DUDU's goal looked a bit too open when Silvano Simões came free, but 尹帆棋 reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 66th minute Aveiro FC were awarded a corner. Amado Macena went to the cornerflag to take it. Higino Barata fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gil Gouveia having to interfere. In the 74th minute, Ademar Soveral hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hakan Şükür took the ball and in the 75 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gil Gouveia. Gil Gouveia dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. Gil Gouveia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gaspar Silveira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gil Gouveia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Quental in the 85th minute of the match. Gil Gouveia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Quental, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Mariano Taveira kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. When Gaspar Silveira came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the FC DUDU fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gaspar Silveira couldn't finish the play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. FC DUDU had played much better football throughout.
