When the match had gone on for 6 minutes, Fredy Montero put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of André Matias. 10 minutes into the match, Sporting Clube de Gaya's goal looked a bit too open when Diamantino Figueiras came free, but Renato Vargas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Diamantino Figueiras fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Renato Vargas having to interfere. 17 minutes into the game, one of TORRESIBA:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Fredy Montero placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Geovanildo Gol hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. After 22 played minutes TORRESIBA got a freekick which was hit by Diamantino Figueiras. After a rather tough play, Sporting Clube de Gaya's Mustapha Hadji got a free kick in the 25th minute. André Matias made an important save on a dangerous shot by Manuel Fernandes in the 32nd minute. Fredy Montero could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but André Matias made a huge save. In the 35th minute of the match, Fredy Montero tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but André Matias saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Jeremiah St. Juste took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised André Matias. In the 51st minute, Mustapha Hadji hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Renato Vargas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diamantino Figueiras, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 55th minute of the match TORRESIBA got a corner. Sporting Clube de Gaya's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Óscar Fraga ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on TORRESIBA's corner Enrico Simeoni fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Renato Vargas quite easily take care of the ball. The Sporting Clube de Gaya fans' excitement grew in the 62nd match minute when Sporting Clube de Gaya's Fredy Montero looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After some careless play in the TORRESIBA defense, Fredy Montero kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of André Matias. The TORRESIBA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that André Matias should have stopped the shot. Manuel Fernandes scored 6-1 in the 68th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of André Matias, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 72 minutes into the game, Manuel Fernandes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-1. André Matias was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Antero Távora came free with the goalkeeper in the 79th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Renato Vargas could save by the left post. In the 84th minute, Manuel Fernandes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sporting Clube de Gaya fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 8-1. After 91 played minutes TORRESIBA got a freekick which was hit by Adriano Poças. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fredy Montero in the 94th minute of play forced TORRESIBA's goalkeeper André Matias to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
