The supporters of AM United booed when ChicanaFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Josué Salvado didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gervásio Valentim kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Adelino Palma recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A sloppy throw-in by Angelo Pessoa in the 16th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by ChicanaFC's Josué Salvado. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teodoro Freire in the 18th minute of play forced ChicanaFC's goalkeeper Hélio Miguéis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to AM United getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Tobias Fontes hit a great ball. Heitor Fonseca succeeded in the game's 20th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-1. The audience was convinced that Pedro Paiva's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but David Bastos was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. In the 25th minute Gil Borba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Bastos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Walery Hoffman in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg David Bastos saved AM United from getting behind. Pedro Paiva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 32 minutes, Rui Graça mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ChicanaFC and the AM United players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of AM United booed when ChicanaFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rui Graça didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 35 played minutes ChicanaFC got a freekick which was hit by Josué Salvado. Angelo Pessoa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. ChicanaFC's Hélio Miguéis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save ChicanaFC from getting a goal against them. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Teodoro Freire stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Hélio Miguéis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teodoro Freire in the 56th minute of play. Hélio Miguéis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teodoro Freire in the 58th minute of the match. 60 minutes into the match, ChicanaFC's goal looked a bit too open when Teodoro Freire came free, but Hélio Miguéis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, ChicanaFC's Josué Salvado got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Hélio Miguéis came out of the goal in the 66th minute to try and stop a shot by AM United's Teodoro Freire. But to his dismay, Teodoro Freire quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 69thth minute of the game Teodoro Freire who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ChicanaFC's Hélio Miguéis was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 72 minutes in the game, Teodoro Freire dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. The supporters of ChicanaFC booed when AM United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roberto Tinoco didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Heitor Fonseca got free with David Bastos in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. AM United's David Bastos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Paiva in the 84th minute of play. AM United's Teodoro Freire got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hélio Miguéis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teodoro Freire, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 94th minute, Rui Graça hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gervásio Valentim during the 96th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 96th match minute, ChicanaFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gervásio Valentim to maneuver through the defense. AM United's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
