Adolfo Cedro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hélio Miguéis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. Hélio Miguéis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fredy Montero in the 11th minute of the match. ChicanaFC's attentive Adélio Laureano managed to snatch the ball when Tytus Wolniewicz made a throw-in in the 29th minute of the game. 30 minutes into the game, Gervásio Valentim recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Renato Vargas. Gervásio Valentim showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. In the 34th minute, Walery Hoffman ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Renato Vargas was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. In the 37th minute Adolfo Cedro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hélio Miguéis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tytus Wolniewicz's late challenge caught a ChicanaFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tytus Wolniewicz helped the player get up and apologised. Sporting Clube de Gaya's Renato Vargas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Sporting Clube de Gaya from getting a goal against them. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Heitor Fonseca stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 70th minute Walery Hoffman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Renato Vargas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With an all-out effort, Sporting Clube de Gaya's Hélio Miguéis threw himself towards the right post 71 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Fredy Montero, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Walery Hoffman during the 75th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to ChicanaFC getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Walery Hoffman hit a great ball. If Shukrie Laycock had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Renato Vargas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Walery Hoffman in the 78th minute of the match. Fredy Montero who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 80thth minute tested the skills of Hélio Miguéis when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When Walery Hoffman came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the ChicanaFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Walery Hoffman couldn't finish the play. Heitor Fonseca hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the ChicanaFC defense, Fredy Montero kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hélio Miguéis. The ChicanaFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hélio Miguéis should have stopped the shot. Adélio Laureano kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Gervásio Valentim recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The ChicanaFC players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
