The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, Américo Albuquerque managed to get in a good position for a shot. Stars Academy's supporters rose to their feet, but Américo Albuquerque was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. André Matias breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With an extended leg and a bit of luck André Matias prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Diamantino Figueiras struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Miguel Carneiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for TORRESIBA. Stars Academy's Miguel Carneiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diamantino Figueiras in the 31st minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ramiro Leme during the 38th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ramiro Leme hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bento Perdigão was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Stars Academy's goal looked a bit too open when Manuel Pinheiro came free, but Miguel Carneiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Manuel Pinheiro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Miguel Carneiro was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Manuel Pinheiro in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Miguel Carneiro saved Stars Academy from getting behind. André Matias dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 70 minutes into the match, Manuel Pinheiro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Miguel Carneiro. Stars Academy's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Manuel Pinheiro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. After 75 minutes, Geovanildo Gol mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the TORRESIBA and the Stars Academy players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, TORRESIBA's Geovanildo Gol got a free kick in the 76th minute. In the 76th minute, Bento Perdigão got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Manuel Pinheiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. In the 95th minute of the match TORRESIBA got a corner. Stars Academy's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Óscar Fraga ran over to the corner to take the kick. Gualter Coutinho was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. TORRESIBA had played much better football throughout.
