The audience was convinced that Fredy Montero's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Aquilino Seixas was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. Aquilino Seixas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fredy Montero in the 22nd minute. In the 30th match minute, Esmoriz was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hugo Onofre to maneuver through the defense. Juvenal Colaço kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. A collision led to Sporting Clube de Gaya getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Tytus Wolniewicz hit a great ball.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fredy Montero made a kick off. With a little luck, Sporting Clube de Gaya's Renato Vargas got control of the ball when Sandro Paredes tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 55thth minute of the game Fredy Montero who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Esmoriz's Aquilino Seixas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Esmoriz's zone, Fredy Montero stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aquilino Seixas came out of the goal and Fredy Montero tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Aquilino Seixas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fredy Montero in the 58th minute of play. After 62 played minutes Esmoriz got a freekick which was hit by Hugo Onofre. Adolfo Cedro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aquilino Seixas having to interfere. In the 71stth minute of the game Fredy Montero who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Esmoriz's Aquilino Seixas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Giovanni Colebinders recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Aquilino Seixas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Shukrie Laycock in the 78th minute of play. In the 80th minute, Adolfo Cedro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 87 minutes, Fredy Montero made it 8-0 with a short kick to the right side. Esmoriz's Aquilino Seixas tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot.
