AM United's Angelo Pessoa got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 12 minutes into the game, Severiano Galvão threw the ball into play from the sideline. AM United's Elias Novais quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 13th minute of the match, Teodoro Freire tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Miguel Carneiro saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Teodoro Freire could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Miguel Carneiro made a huge save. Teodoro Freire fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miguel Carneiro having to interfere. 21 minutes into the match, Teodoro Freire dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Miguel Carneiro, 1-0. Teodoro Freire in the 24thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Miguel Carneiro, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Miguel Carneiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teodoro Freire, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. António Cortez kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Miguel Carneiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teodoro Freire, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. With an all-out effort, AM United's Miguel Carneiro threw himself towards the right post 39 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Teodoro Freire, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Teodoro Freire sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Teodoro Freire's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 46thth minute, Miguel Carneiro skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The wind increased when Teodoro Freire made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Teodoro Freire shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miguel Carneiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Angelo Pessoa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Miguel Carneiro having to make a save. Miguel Carneiro didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when AM United's Teodoro Freire shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 3-0 in the ordered_time% minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Teodoro Freire in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Miguel Carneiro saved Stars Academy from getting behind. Angelo Pessoa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Miguel Carneiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Angelo Pessoa in the 67th minute of play. After some careless play in the Stars Academy defense, Angelo Pessoa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Miguel Carneiro. The Stars Academy fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Miguel Carneiro should have stopped the shot. If Teodoro Freire had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Angelo Pessoa took the ball and in the 77 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Miguel Carneiro. Miguel Carneiro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. In the 80th minute Teodoro Freire shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miguel Carneiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With an all-out effort, Stars Academy's David Bastos threw himself towards the right post 88 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Jairo Carrasqueira, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When the match had gone on for 89 minutes, Teodoro Freire put it in 6-0 from a short distance just to the right of Miguel Carneiro. Teodoro Freire blasted a shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Miguel Carneiro having to make a save. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. AM United fully deserved thier win.
