Spectators: 6501 (Terracing: 5500, Seating: 1001, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Vivaldo Pimenta got the match started through his kick off. Cidoes FC's Cassiano Paião got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Vivaldo Pimenta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Jacinto Neto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ilídio Maia hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Lisandro Castelo Branco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cassiano Paião in the 13th minute of play. Nélson Vilas Boas hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. In the 23rd minute, Cidoes FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Vivaldo Pimenta fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 26th minute, Cassiano Paião got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lisandro Castelo Branco came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by Cidoes FC's Alfredo Maltez. But to his dismay, Alfredo Maltez quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Cassiano Paião struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Lisandro Castelo Branco didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cidoes FC. Alfredo Maltez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Lisandro Castelo Branco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 36 minutes into the game, Alcides Vilaça was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cidoes FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lara the free kick. In the 36th match minute, Cidoes FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alcides Vilaça to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vivaldo Pimenta in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jacinto Neto saved Cidoes FC from getting behind. Vivaldo Pimenta in the 39thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jacinto Neto, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. A collision led to Cidoes FC getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Alfredo Maltez hit a great ball. In the 43rd minute, one of Lara:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Lara. The referee gave Cidoes FC a penalty, 45 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Rui Guarda, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Lara's Lisandro Castelo Branco. 0-2.

Aldo Vilar hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. After 58 played minutes, Lara's Carlos Fonseca shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jacinto Neto came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Lara reached it. If Cassiano Paião had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Claudemiro Lessa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pascoal Lage's late challenge caught a Lara's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pascoal Lage helped the player get up and apologised. Lara's Aparício Nóbrega was substituted for Ilídio Maia. The supporters of Lara booed when Cidoes FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pascoal Lage didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vivaldo Pimenta in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jacinto Neto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 69 played minutes, Lara's Carlos Fonseca shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jacinto Neto came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lisandro Castelo Branco prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 85 played minutes Cidoes FC got a freekick which was hit by Simão Ramos. Cassiano Paião's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lisandro Castelo Branco read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. Lisandro Castelo Branco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfredo Maltez in the 91st minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Cassiano Paião managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cidoes FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Cassiano Paião was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lisandro Castelo Branco breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Lara getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Palmiro Bezerra hit a great ball.
