Leonardo Lousada could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Higino Antas made a huge save. After 12 played minutes GDP got a freekick which was hit by Nivaldo Cunha. After 17 minutes of play, GDP's Enzo Santiago made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Higino Antas was left in no man's land by his defense there! 22 minutes into the match, Ponta do Pargo F.C's Aldaír Conde broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. The supporters of Ponta do Pargo F.C booed when GDP was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leonardo Lousada didn't get a good kick on the ball. 30 minutes into the game, Enzo Santiago recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Higino Antas. Enzo Santiago showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Leonardo Lousada got free with Higino Antas in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Ponta do Pargo F.C's Higino Antas got control of the ball when Leonardo Lousada tried to sneak it across the goal line. Higino Antas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leonardo Lousada in the 43rd minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Enzo Santiago kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Higino Antas. That made the score 4-0 in the 44 minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Domingos Sampaio made a kick off. Ponta do Pargo F.C's Higino Antas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jacob Antas in the 51st minute of play. In the 52nd minute, Nivaldo Cunha ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Higino Antas was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. The supporters of Ponta do Pargo F.C booed when GDP was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leonardo Lousada didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ponta do Pargo F.C's attentive Alípio Saraiva managed to snatch the ball when Filipe Travassos made a throw-in in the 65th minute of the game. Higino Antas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonardo Lousada in the 67th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Enzo Santiago in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Higino Antas saved Ponta do Pargo F.C from getting behind. Higino Antas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nivaldo Cunha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 72ndth minute of the game Leonardo Lousada who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ponta do Pargo F.C's Higino Antas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With his leg Cristóvão Belo managed to avoid a goal in the 74thth minute, when Ponta do Pargo F.C's Domingos Sampaio fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 76th minute Ponta do Pargo F.C were awarded a corner. Aldaír Conde went to the cornerflag to take it. After having played for 81 minutes, Jacob Antas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. GDP's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jacob Antas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in GDP's zone, Joaquim Peseiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cristóvão Belo came out of the goal and Joaquim Peseiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Domingos Sampaio took the ball and in the 87 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cristóvão Belo. Cristóvão Belo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-1. Higino Antas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jacob Antas in the 92nd minute of the match.
