Spectators: 8458 (Terracing: 6344, Seating: 1945, VIP seats: 169) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Artun Aydın started the match with the kick off. After 5 minutes, Moisés Caiado mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Caxias F.C. and the BENFICA UNITED players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 5th minute, Moisés Caiado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as BENFICA UNITED's Tiago Domingues slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Álvaro Baía. That made the score 1-0 after 7 minutes of play. Tiago Domingues received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Álvaro Baía came out and tried to block the shot, but Tiago Domingues slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 17th minute. 31 minutes into the game, BENFICA UNITED's Ignacio Ioritz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Álvaro Baía made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Anderson Hoffmann took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Artun Aydın, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ignacio Ioritz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Álvaro Baía made a huge save. Zé Augusto Soares hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Anderson Hoffmann stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Artun Aydın's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. After 39 minutes, Artun Aydın made it 3-1 with a short kick to the right side. BENFICA UNITED's Anderson Hoffmann tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Álvaro Baía made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ignacio Ioritz in the 44th minute of play. After 47 played minutes Ignacio Ioritz rounded Caxias F.C.'s defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 4-1. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Douglas Costa to make the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Caxias F.C.'s Jordão Valadares slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Anderson Hoffmann. That made the score 4-2 after 52 minutes of play. In the 55th match minute, Caxias F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kip Kerri to maneuver through the defense. After 58 minutes Caxias F.C.'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Porfírio Chagas who took care of the corner kick. Ignacio Ioritz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Álvaro Baía tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Álvaro Baía took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ignacio Ioritz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 67 minutes into the game, Ignacio Ioritz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-2. Álvaro Baía was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 70 minutes into the game, BENFICA UNITED's Douglas Costa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Álvaro Baía made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-2. Anderson Hoffmann showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jordão Valadares, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. 75 minutes into the match, Caxias F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Tiago Domingues came free, but Álvaro Baía reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Douglas Costa in the 80th minute of play forced Caxias F.C.'s goalkeeper Álvaro Baía to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. BENFICA UNITED's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Porfírio Chagas in the 81st minute. A nice corner shot did that Ignacio Ioritz got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Álvaro Baía quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Álvaro Baía showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ignacio Ioritz in the 87th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jordão Valadares got free with Anderson Hoffmann in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the referee ended the match the BENFICA UNITED players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
