In the 16th minute Nicolau Freire shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anderson Hoffmann saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Anderson Hoffmann showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mauro Aveiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. In the 20thth minute of the game Mauro Aveiro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but BENFICA UNITED's Anderson Hoffmann was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Nicolau Freire sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mauro Aveiro to make the kick off. Anderson Hoffmann made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nicolau Freire in the 75th minute. 78 minutes had been played when some careless play by BENFICA UNITED's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Baltasar Parente was slow to take the kick. During this time SC Foios's players had a chance to rest. The corner led SC Foios's Baltasar Parente to fire away a dangerous shot which Anderson Hoffmann despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 80th match minute, BENFICA UNITED was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ramiro Travassos to maneuver through the defense. After 82 minutes BENFICA UNITED's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Baltasar Parente who took care of the corner kick. The supporters of SC Foios booed when BENFICA UNITED was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joaquim Leme didn't get a good kick on the ball. Baltasar Parente recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With an all-out effort, SC Foios's Anderson Hoffmann threw himself towards the right post 96 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Baltasar Parente, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The SC Foios supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing SC Foios would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
