André Bomba recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Machada FC's Cüneyd Bektaş played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tiago Cortez in the 6th minute of play. Francisco Queirós struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Cüneyd Bektaş didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ponte do Carro. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alberto Portugal got free with André Carmo in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpected shot in the 18th minute by André Bomba got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. André Carmo made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when André Bomba sent off a good shot on target. 21 minutes into the match, Ponte do Carro's Loukianos Livas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cüneyd Bektaş narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After having played for 23 minutes, Alberto Portugal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Machada FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alberto Portugal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Machada FC's Cüneyd Bektaş played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tiago Cortez in the 31st minute of play. André Carmo made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when André Bomba sent off a good shot on target. Cüneyd Bektaş showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Simão Boaventura in the 38th minute of the match. Severino Madruga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without André Carmo having to interfere. In the 44th match minute, Ponte do Carro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luís Falcão to maneuver through the defense. Alberto Portugal struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tiago Cortez to make the kick off. A collision led to Machada FC getting a freekick after 50 minutes play. Paulo Amigo hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Loukianos Livas in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cüneyd Bektaş saved Machada FC from getting behind. When the match clock showed 52 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Loukianos Livas sped through Machada FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Cüneyd Bektaş. In the 55th minute Alberto Portugal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but André Carmo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 66 played minutes Ponte do Carro got a freekick which was hit by Simão Boaventura. A collision led to Machada FC getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Alberto Portugal hit a great ball. Ponte do Carro's Alcino Jesus was substituted for Tiago Cortez. Palmiro Leite could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Cüneyd Bektaş made a huge save. Ponte do Carro were awarded a corner in the 84th minute after Machada FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Manuel Carvalhal took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Manuel Carvalhal got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Cüneyd Bektaş quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Severino Madruga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without André Carmo having to interfere. 90 minutes into the match, Ponte do Carro's goal looked a bit too open when André Bomba came free, but André Carmo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
