A.D.ESMOJÃES's Laureano Rijo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save A.D.ESMOJÃES from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, A.D.ESMOJÃES's Eduardo Bulhosa got a free kick in the 26th minute. Laureano Rijo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Palmiro Fidalgo in the 27th minute of play. In the 28th minute of the match Solpontense F.C. got a corner. A.D.ESMOJÃES's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Luís Paredes ran over to the corner to take the kick. A very nice done corner allowed Juliano Torres to score against Laureano Rijo in A.D.ESMOJÃES's goal. 1-0 after 30 minutes. Laureano Rijo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Juvenal Valverde, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 42 minutes into the match, A.D.ESMOJÃES's Israel Póvoas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marco Vieira narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Luís Paredes came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Solpontense F.C. fans jumped to their feet. Laureano Rijo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luís Paredes in the 65th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Verne Couzens in the 66th minute of play forced A.D.ESMOJÃES's goalkeeper Laureano Rijo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 95 played minutes A.D.ESMOJÃES got a freekick which was hit by Cassiano Brochado. Solpontense F.C.'s fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
