Alexandre Quadros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Marco Bülow tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to SC Tornado getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Paulo Belo hit a great ball. Vítor Travassos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Augusto Portugal in the 6th minute of the match. Vítor Travassos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fabiano de Alcântara in the 8th minute. After having played for 18 minutes, Augusto Portugal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lusos Crew's supporters crossed their fingers, but Augusto Portugal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 20th minute of the match, Augusto Portugal tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Vítor Travassos saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Marco Bülow showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Basílio Lima, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. 25 minutes into the match, SC Tornado's goalkeeper Vítor Travassos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Reginaldo Moutinho. In the 30th minute, Reginaldo Moutinho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Pedro Granja had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Paulo Belo came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the SC Tornado fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paulo Belo couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Reginaldo Moutinho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lusos Crew's supporters rose to their feet, but Reginaldo Moutinho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vítor Travassos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 47th match minute, Lusos Crew was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joel lago to maneuver through the defense. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Marco Bülow took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulo Belo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 61 minutes, Basílio Lima took a quick shot and it went in 0-1 without a chance for Marco Bülow to make any attempt to save it. SC Tornado's Vítor Travassos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Augusto Portugal in the 69th minute of play. Vítor Travassos didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Augusto Portugal went, in the 69th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Marco Bülow made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alexandre Quadros in the 72nd minute. SC Tornado's Vítor Travassos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Augusto Portugal in the 76th minute of play. Vivaldo Barros kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Paulo Belo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marco Bülow having to make a save. Lusos Crew's defense didn't have a chance, in the 90th minute, when Paulo Belo scored to the left of an out of position Marco Bülow, making the score, 1-2.
