In the 26th minute, Sean Demeyer left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SC Atouguio fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. When Palmiro Fidalgo came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Solpontense F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Palmiro Fidalgo couldn't finish the play.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Palmiro Fidalgo made a kick off. In the 52nd minute of the match Solpontense F.C. got a corner. SC Atouguio's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Juvenal Valverde ran over to the corner to take the kick. After 53 minutes SC Atouguio's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Juvenal Valverde who took care of the corner kick. Juvenal Valverde made a great header on Solpontense F.C.'s corner, it was just that SC Atouguio's Gică Lucescu managed to reach the ball for a save. Cucu Fernández recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luís Paredes might have been able to make a better finish in the 59th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gică Lucescu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Luís Paredes ran back to his position shaking his head. Gică Lucescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luís Paredes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Solpontense F.C.'s Marco Vieira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sean Demeyer in the 63rd minute of play. 63 minutes into the match, Sean Demeyer notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Solpontense F.C.'s Marco Vieira. Marco Vieira was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 66 minutes into the match, SC Atouguio's goal looked a bit too open when Palmiro Fidalgo came free, but Gică Lucescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gică Lucescu came out of the goal in the 76th minute to try and stop a shot by Solpontense F.C.'s Igor Martins. But to his dismay, Igor Martins quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. 83 minutes into the match, SC Atouguio's goal looked a bit too open when Verne Couzens came free, but Gică Lucescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gică Lucescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Verne Couzens, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute.
