BIAMAR's Mariano Flores played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nuno Ponte in the 19th minute of play. The supporters of Benfica de Penafirme booed when BIAMAR was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. İslam Özoğuz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Márcio Ribeiros short, quick shot in the 21stth minute got Silvano Fragoso to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. BIAMAR's Mariano Flores played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mário Caneira in the 27th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mário Caneira in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mariano Flores saved BIAMAR from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Roberto Pádua in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mariano Flores prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 35th minute of the match Benfica de Penafirme got a corner. BIAMAR's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Varban Tzúrkov ran over to the corner to take the kick. With an all-out effort, BIAMAR's Silvano Fragoso threw himself towards the right post 38 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ceferino Salvatore, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 40 minutes had been played when some careless play by Benfica de Penafirme's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Olavo Gameiro was slow to take the kick. During this time BIAMAR's players had a chance to rest. Alcides Nóbrega fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mariano Flores having to interfere. Silvano Fragoso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Márcio Ribeiro in the 47th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Silvano Fragoso made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. In the 74th minute Ceferino Salvatore shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silvano Fragoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. BIAMAR's Olavo Gameiro was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Silvano Fragoso in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Alcides Nóbrega sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Silvano Fragoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Diederik Vergouwen in the 80th minute of the match. Mariano Flores showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nuno Ponte, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diederik Vergouwen in the 92nd minute of play forced Benfica de Penafirme's goalkeeper Silvano Fragoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 92nd minute, Alcides Nóbrega hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Israel Faria came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the BIAMAR fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Israel Faria couldn't finish the play. Silvano Fragoso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tobiasz Bubczyk, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. BIAMAR fully deserved thier win.
