Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Januário Domingos stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Giuseppe Catarinense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Diogo Castro having to interfere. After 59 minutes of play, AD Pontassolense's Januário Domingos made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Diogo Castro was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 65th minute, Henrique Onofre hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 66 minutes into the match, AD Pontassolense's goal looked a bit too open when Cristiano Viegas came free, but Marco Bessa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Diogo Castro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Giuseppe Catarinense in the 70th minute of play. Diogo Castro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Giuseppe Catarinense went, in the 70th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. If Giuseppe Catarinense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 81 minutes into the match, A.D.E.Penamacorense's goal looked a bit too open when Giuseppe Catarinense came free, but Diogo Castro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Diogo Castro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Giuseppe Catarinense, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Marco Bessa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manuel Moita in the 85th minute of the match.
