An unexpectedly hard shot by Jiang Qing Lin in the 31st minute of play forced Mindelos Academy's goalkeeper Márcio Varanda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Laurentino Fontes came free with the goalkeeper in the 34th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Vito de Godoi could save by the left post. In the 39th minute Adalberto Peres shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Márcio Varanda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Márcio Varanda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Júlio Gentil in the 41st minute of the match. After 41 played minutes Mindelos Academy got a freekick which was hit by Mateusz Paciuszko. In the 47th minute, Domingos Palmeira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Laurentino Fontes made a kick off. After 54 minutes, Durval Meira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Matos Velhos and the Mindelos Academy players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Matos Velhos getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Durval Meira hit a great ball. Adriano Henriques charged in rather forcefully in the 57th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Adriano Henriques the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 57 played minutes Mindelos Academy got a freekick which was hit by Adriano Henriques. 61 minutes into the match, Matos Velhos's goal looked a bit too open when Laurentino Fontes came free, but Vito de Godoi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 64th minute Laurentino Fontes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vito de Godoi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mindelos Academy's Laurentino Fontes was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Vito de Godoi in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Durval Meira thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Vito de Godoi, a very annoying self made goal in the 65th minute which led to 2-0. Márcio Varanda made an important save on a dangerous shot by Henrique Candal in the 69th minute. Laurentino Fontes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vito de Godoi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 70th minute of play. In the 72nd minute Bartolomeo Roßberger shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vito de Godoi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vito de Godoi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adriano Henriques, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. After some careless play in the Matos Velhos defense, Adriano Henriques kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vito de Godoi. The Matos Velhos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vito de Godoi should have stopped the shot. Matos Velhos made a substitution. Özdemir Saygur replaced Generoso Silvino. Matos Velhos's Karl Nietlisbach was substituted for Sabino Vilhena. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adriano Henriques in the 81st minute of play forced Matos Velhos's goalkeeper Vito de Godoi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 82 minutes into the match, Matos Velhos's goal looked a bit too open when Bartolomeo Roßberger came free, but Vito de Godoi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
