Fhury FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Serafim Rebocho in the 10th minute. In the 14th minute of the match Barbeita FC got a corner. Fhury FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Herbert Hammarström ran over to the corner to take the kick. Serafim Rebocho hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Gentil Dias charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gentil Dias the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Fhury FC booed when Barbeita FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gentil Dias didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 20 minutes Barbeita FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Serafim Rebocho who took care of the corner kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Barbeita FC's goalie and right to Bruno Rodrigues. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Barbeita FC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Wilhelm Bure took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aloísio Barbosa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fhury FC's Tiago Rodrigues played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rogelio Sagrario in the 31st minute of play. Wilhelm Bure made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Aloísio Barbosa sent off a good shot on target. 35 minutes into the match, Fhury FC's goal looked a bit too open when Herbert Hammarström came free, but Tiago Rodrigues reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Barbeita FC's Herbert Hammarström in the 36th minute got a chance for a shot 36th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Herbert Mindykowski to make the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Herbert Mindykowski notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Fhury FC's Tiago Rodrigues. Tiago Rodrigues was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Wilhelm Bure took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aloísio Barbosa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Carlos Rodrigues's late challenge caught a Barbeita FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Carlos Rodrigues helped the player get up and apologised. In the 66th match minute, Fhury FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Rodrigues to maneuver through the defense. Barbeita FC's Vicente Sales was substituted for Rogelio Sagrario. Carlos Rodrigues kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. In the 68th minute Herbert Mindykowski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tiago Rodrigues saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Barbeita FC's Herbert Hammarström got a free kick in the 69th minute. Nuno Madureira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Wilhelm Bure tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wilhelm Bure showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aloísio Barbosa in the 74th minute of the match. Vicente Sales could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Tiago Rodrigues made a huge save. In the 79th minute Carlos Rodrigues shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilhelm Bure saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Isac Tristão came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Fhury FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Isac Tristão couldn't finish the play. In the 82nd minute, Aloísio Barbosa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Wilhelm Bure was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. If Ivan Rodrigues had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wilhelm Bure made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nuno Madureira in the 89th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vicente Sales got free with Tiago Rodrigues in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The audience was convinced that Aloísio Barbosa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Wilhelm Bure was relentless in the 94th minute of the game.
