Mats Stenman's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vladimiro Medeiros read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 45th minute of play. After the first half Ribeirada were leading 1-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jorge Rico was the one to do the kick off. Teodor Cercel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vladimiro Medeiros made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Basarab Ceaușu sent off a good shot on target. Jorge Rico could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Vladimiro Medeiros made a huge save. When the match had gone on for 61 minutes, Jorge Rico took a quick shot and it went in 1-6 without a chance for Vladimiro Medeiros to make any attempt to save it. Ribeirada's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Teodor Cercel was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-6. After having played for 86 minutes, Mats Stenman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ribeirada's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mats Stenman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Vaz FC's Egídio Zambujal got a free kick in the 89th minute. Mats Stenman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Vladimiro Medeiros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Ribeirada walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
