AD Oliveirense's Júlio César played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nuno Madureira in the 5th minute of play. After 8 played minutes AD Oliveirense got a freekick which was hit by Adão Vilela. Carlos Rodrigues hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dave Nash in the 15th minute of play forced Fhury FC's goalkeeper Tiago Rodrigues to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 18th minute Aloísio Barbosa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Júlio César saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 19 minutes AD Oliveirense's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Serafim Rebocho who took care of the corner kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of AD Oliveirense's goalie and right to Isac Tristão. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. AD Oliveirense's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. In the 22nd minute Fabrício Baía shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tiago Rodrigues saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 24 minutes into the match, AD Oliveirense's goal looked a bit too open when Aloísio Barbosa came free, but Júlio César reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Júlio César made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Aloísio Barbosa sent off a good shot on target. 33 minutes into the match, Fhury FC's goal looked a bit too open when Celedonio Berenguer came free, but Tiago Rodrigues reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Celedonio Berenguer came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the AD Oliveirense fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Celedonio Berenguer couldn't finish the play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Dave Nash made the kick off in the second half. If Fabrício Baía had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aloísio Barbosa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Júlio César tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Fhury FC's Aloísio Barbosa in the 61st minute got a chance for a shot 61st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Júlio César prevented the ball from getting in the gole. AD Oliveirense made a substitution. LeBron Naldo replaced Alfréd Fenyvessy. Fhury FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hugo Manso was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. AD Oliveirense's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
