In the 9th minute, Vivaldo Belém got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bruno Tristão's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ixaka Barcaiztegui read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bruno Tristão in the 18th minute of play forced CD Pinhalnovense's goalkeeper Ixaka Barcaiztegui to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rúben Caldeira had several of the VETERANOS DA GUINÉ - FLF's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 21 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Maurício Estrela as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 28th minute the ball was on its way in behind VETERANOS DA GUINÉ - FLF's goalkeeper Maurício Estrela, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in CD Pinhalnovense's zone, Bruno Tristão stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ixaka Barcaiztegui came out of the goal and Bruno Tristão tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 35 minutes into the match, VETERANOS DA GUINÉ - FLF's goal looked a bit too open when Rúben Caldeira came free, but Maurício Estrela reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 38 minutes, Maurício Estrela successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Zé Guine hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. 40 minutes into the match, CD Pinhalnovense's goal looked a bit too open when Bruno Tristão came free, but Ixaka Barcaiztegui reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rúben Caldeira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Maurício Estrela made a huge save.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rúben Caldeira stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 52 minutes, Bruno Tristão managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. VETERANOS DA GUINÉ - FLF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bruno Tristão was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 54th minute of the match, Bruno Tristão tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ixaka Barcaiztegui saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bruno Tristão in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ixaka Barcaiztegui saved CD Pinhalnovense from getting behind. In the 65th minute, VETERANOS DA GUINÉ - FLF's Cristiano Bento ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ixaka Barcaiztegui. Ixaka Barcaiztegui yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. Bruno Tristão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Ixaka Barcaiztegui tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When VETERANOS DA GUINÉ - FLF's Bruno Tristão in the 70th minute got a chance for a shot 70th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Ixaka Barcaiztegui showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristiano Bento in the 83rd minute of the match. In the 87th minute Daniel Coutinho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maurício Estrela saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Bruno Tristão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 93rdth minute of the game Bruno Tristão who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but CD Pinhalnovense's Ixaka Barcaiztegui was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The VETERANOS DA GUINÉ - FLF fans' excitement grew in the 94th match minute when VETERANOS DA GUINÉ - FLF's Bruno Tristão looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The VETERANOS DA GUINÉ - FLF supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing VETERANOS DA GUINÉ - FLF would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
