In the 10th minute, Bizi Baza ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ixaka Barcaiztegui was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. 16 minutes into the game, Bizi Baza cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Ixaka Barcaiztegui was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ixaka Barcaiztegui made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bizi Baza in the 19th minute. The supporters of SC Grimancelos booed when CD Pinhalnovense was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gustavo Rico didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bizi Baza had several of the CD Pinhalnovense's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 26 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 4-0 score and a disappointed Ixaka Barcaiztegui as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 29th match minute, CD Pinhalnovense was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gustavo Rico to maneuver through the defense. When Bizi Baza came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the SC Grimancelos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bizi Baza couldn't finish the play. Henk Pijps showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rúben Caldeira, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. SC Grimancelos were awarded a corner in the 40th minute after CD Pinhalnovense's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ma Nan Zhi took the corner. 43 minutes into the match, CD Pinhalnovense's Daniel Coutinho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Henk Pijps narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Thanks to some nice moves Bizi Baza could shoot a difficult shot in the 46th minute, which Ixaka Barcaiztegui however easily saved by the left post. The corner ended in Ma Nan Zhi almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but CD Pinhalnovense's Ixaka Barcaiztegui did a great save. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

52 minutes into the game, Bizi Baza cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Ixaka Barcaiztegui was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 56 minutes into the match, CD Pinhalnovense's goal looked a bit too open when Bizi Baza came free, but Ixaka Barcaiztegui reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 58 minutes, Bizi Baza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Grimancelos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bizi Baza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ixaka Barcaiztegui showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gerard Sim in the 60th minute of the match. In the 62nd minute of the match SC Grimancelos got a corner. CD Pinhalnovense's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ma Nan Zhi ran over to the corner to take the kick. Henk Pijps made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Pinhal in the 63rd minute of play. Henk Pijps showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from João Pinhal, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. CD Pinhalnovense's Ixaka Barcaiztegui played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bizi Baza in the 66th minute of play. In the 66th minute, Bizi Baza ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ixaka Barcaiztegui was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-0. Henk Pijps showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Pinhal in the 71st minute of the match. SC Grimancelos's Francis Saint-Germain was substituted for Bizi Baza. Ixaka Barcaiztegui showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gerard Sim, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. After a defensive mix-up in CD Pinhalnovense's zone, Francis Saint-Germain stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ixaka Barcaiztegui came out of the goal and Francis Saint-Germain tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. SC Grimancelos's Olgierd Ziemniak was substituted for Diego Pestana. Francis Saint-Germain blasted a shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ixaka Barcaiztegui having to make a save. Ixaka Barcaiztegui took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Francis Saint-Germain, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 96 played minutes SC Grimancelos got a freekick which was hit by Gentil Vieira.
