Constantin Bojincă could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 3rd minute of the match, but Ixaka Barcaiztegui made a huge save. The corner ended in Alberto Moreira almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but CD Pinhalnovense's Ixaka Barcaiztegui did a great save. When C U D Leverense's Constantin Bojincă in the 11th minute got a chance for a shot 11th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye CD Pinhalnovense's goalie prevented a goal. If Constantin Bojincă had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. C U D Leverense's Jesualdo Ferreira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Pinhal in the 17th minute of play. Jesualdo Ferreira came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by CD Pinhalnovense's Rúben Caldeira. But to his dismay, Rúben Caldeira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. 30 minutes into the match, C U D Leverense's Tiago Avelar sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ixaka Barcaiztegui narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 33rd minute Igor Pimentel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jesualdo Ferreira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 34 minutes into the match, C U D Leverense's goal looked a bit too open when Igor Pimentel came free, but Jesualdo Ferreira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ixaka Barcaiztegui stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tiago Avelar's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. Alberto Moreira hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. In the 37th minute João Pinhal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jesualdo Ferreira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ixaka Barcaiztegui didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tiago Avelar went, in the 39th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. In the 45th of the match, Tiago Avelar tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Ixaka Barcaiztegui got in the way and made a wonderful save. After 46 minutes CD Pinhalnovense's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Alberto Moreira who took care of the corner kick. The corner led to C U D Leverense's Nicu Văduva getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Daniel Coutinho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Jesualdo Ferreira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Pinhal in the 53rd minute of play forced C U D Leverense's goalkeeper Jesualdo Ferreira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tiago Avelar in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ixaka Barcaiztegui saved CD Pinhalnovense from getting behind. Ixaka Barcaiztegui showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tiago Avelar, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Gustavo Rico lost his temper 65 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in CD Pinhalnovense fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 65th minute. Penalty! Ixaka Barcaiztegui showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Constantin Bojincă in the 68th minute of the match. Ixaka Barcaiztegui made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Constantin Bojincă in the 68th minute of play. Rúben Caldeira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jesualdo Ferreira having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Igor Pimentel in the 78th minute of play forced C U D Leverense's goalkeeper Jesualdo Ferreira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 87 minutes into the match, C U D Leverense's Constantin Bojincă sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ixaka Barcaiztegui narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to C U D Leverense getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Virgílio Carvalho hit a great ball.
