The attack was good, but when Claudemiro Peixoto in the 16th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. When Eduardo Lencastre fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored MLP's protests and gave Eduardo Lencastre a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to MLP getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Eduardo Lencastre hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in MLP's zone, Claudemiro Peixoto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Valentim Magalhães came out of the goal and Claudemiro Peixoto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Mateo Rusin fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mira Sintra's protests and gave Mateo Rusin a yellow card for diving instead. 29 minutes into the match, MLP's goal looked a bit too open when Claudemiro Peixoto came free, but Valentim Magalhães reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 32nd minute Amauri van Beek shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valentim Magalhães saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 32 minutes into the match, Amauri van Beek notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of MLP's Valentim Magalhães. Valentim Magalhães was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 34th minute, Filipe Lameiras hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Valentim Magalhães showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amauri van Beek in the 35th minute of the match. After a good free kick, Amauri van Beek got an opportunity to smash the ball into the goal, but unfortunately, the ball went just outside the goal, which resulted in a goal kick for MLP. Valentim Magalhães took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amauri van Beek, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 44 minutes into the game, Mira Sintra's Claudemiro Peixoto nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Valentim Magalhães made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ramiro Malta to make the kick off. João Brites made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Armando Neto in the 54th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ramiro Malta in the 55th minute of play forced Mira Sintra's goalkeeper João Brites to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 59 minutes, Lennart Hellström mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mira Sintra and the MLP players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Mira Sintra's Lennart Hellström got a free kick in the 59th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, 秦浩洲 managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mira Sintra's supporters rose to their feet, but 秦浩洲 was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Valentim Magalhães breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ramiro Malta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. João Brites took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ramiro Malta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 75th minute 温迪坤 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João Brites saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Amauri van Beek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Valentim Magalhães showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amauri van Beek, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. After a rather tough play, Mira Sintra's Mateo Rusin got a free kick in the 85th minute. Plácido Pereira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 88 minutes into the match, Mira Sintra's goal looked a bit too open when Ramiro Malta came free, but João Brites reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
