In the 5th minute of the match Israel Carvalhal sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Claudemiro Tristão skillfully saved the ball. Claudemiro Tristão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raimundo Ventura, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When GD Almargense's Celso Eiró in the 9th minute got a chance for a shot 9th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s goalie prevented a goal. Raimundo Ventura took the ball and in the 11 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Claudemiro Tristão. Claudemiro Tristão dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gonzalo Lixandro in the 15th minute of play forced GD Almargense's goalkeeper Claudemiro Tristão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Claudemiro Tristão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodolfo Faria in the 16th minute of play. In the 21st minute Celso Eiró shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Qiu Chuan Ran saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Qiu Chuan Ran showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benedito Rebelo in the 24th minute of the match. After 26 minutes, Adérito Pinheiro made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s Qiu Chuan Ran tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. If Celso Eiró had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 34 minutes into the match, Raimundo Ventura notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of GD Almargense's Claudemiro Tristão. Claudemiro Tristão was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Celso Eiró received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Qiu Chuan Ran tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Qiu Chuan Ran made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benedito Rebelo in the 44th minute of play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Raimundo Ventura was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Gonzalo Lixandro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Claudemiro Tristão. GD Almargense's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gonzalo Lixandro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. Claudemiro Tristão made an important save on a dangerous shot by Raimundo Ventura in the 55th minute. Claudemiro Madureira hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s Claudemiro Madureira got a free kick in the 61st minute. 65 minutes into the match, GD Almargense's goalkeeper Claudemiro Tristão had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Raimundo Ventura. GD Almargense's Claudemiro Tristão proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save GD Almargense from getting a goal against them. In the 70thth minute of the game Rodolfo Faria who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but GD Almargense's Claudemiro Tristão was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s Gervásio Caeiro was substituted for Israel Carvalhal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Carlos Vides in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Qiu Chuan Ran prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Claudemiro Tristão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gonzalo Lixandro in the 75th minute of play. 77 minutes into the game, Carlos Vides cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-4. Qiu Chuan Ran was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Zarco Patrício hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. 83 minutes into the match, GD Almargense's goalkeeper Claudemiro Tristão had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Raimundo Ventura. In the 89th minute, Osman Ali Şenyaşar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s Qiu Chuan Ran played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zarco Patrício in the 91st minute of play. After a rather tough play, GD Almargense's Zarco Patrício got a free kick in the 94th minute. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Sporting Clube V.R.S.A. walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
