After having played for 12 minutes, José Bomba managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. F.C. Paços de Ferreira's supporters crossed their fingers, but José Bomba was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. José Bomba came free with the goalkeeper in the 15th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Aitor Ayarza could save by the left post. After taking down the ball on F.C. Paços de Ferreira's corner Igor Tudor fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Aitor Ayarza quite easily take care of the ball. Murillo Cano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Pes Torto came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the black devil fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pes Torto couldn't finish the play. 25 minutes into the match, Murillo Cano had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Péter Mészáros. F.C. Paços de Ferreira's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Murillo Cano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. José Bomba's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aitor Ayarza read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. In the 43rd minute the ball was on its way in behind black devil's goalkeeper Aitor Ayarza, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when José Bomba got free with Aitor Ayarza in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Saúl Zambujal hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. Péter Mészáros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Murillo Cano, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. In the 49th minute of the match black devil got a corner. F.C. Paços de Ferreira's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

In the 60th minute of the match, Martinho Alvarenga tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Péter Mészáros saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After having played for 95 minutes, José Bomba managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. F.C. Paços de Ferreira's supporters crossed their fingers, but José Bomba was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
