After 3 minutes, André Noronha mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sporting Clube Patrício and the F.C. Paços de Ferreira players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 3rd match minute, Sporting Clube Patrício was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by André Noronha to maneuver through the defense. Ademar Azevedo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of José Bomba's shot from short distance in the 4th minute. 6 minutes into the match, F.C. Paços de Ferreira's goal looked a bit too open when Binne Koppermann came free, but Péter Mészáros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when José Bomba got free with Ademar Azevedo in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Péter Mészáros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Binne Koppermann in the 10th minute of the match. Péter Mészáros came out of the goal in the 10th minute to try and stop a shot by Sporting Clube Patrício's Binne Koppermann. But to his dismay, Binne Koppermann quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Binne Koppermann struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Péter Mészáros didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sporting Clube Patrício. 20 minutes had been played when some careless play by Sporting Clube Patrício's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Igor Tudor was slow to take the kick. During this time F.C. Paços de Ferreira's players had a chance to rest. F.C. Paços de Ferreira's Igor Tudor was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Ademar Azevedo in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sporting Clube Patrício's goalkeeper Ademar Azevedo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Sporting Clube Patrício's zone, José Bomba stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ademar Azevedo came out of the goal and José Bomba tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Bóas Pernas fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored F.C. Paços de Ferreira's protests and gave Bóas Pernas a yellow card for diving instead. In the 34th match minute, F.C. Paços de Ferreira was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bóas Pernas to maneuver through the defense. 35 minutes into the match, F.C. Paços de Ferreira's goal looked a bit too open when Binne Koppermann came free, but Péter Mészáros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Paços de Ferreira's goalkeeper Péter Mészáros, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Sporting Clube Patrício's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Romão Santos in the 41st minute. The corner ended in Romão Santos almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but F.C. Paços de Ferreira's Péter Mészáros did a great save. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The wind increased when José Bomba made the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Binne Koppermann got free with Péter Mészáros in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. José Bomba's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ademar Azevedo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. In the 60th minute Binne Koppermann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Péter Mészáros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 62nd minute of the match Sporting Clube Patrício got a corner. F.C. Paços de Ferreira's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Romão Santos ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Sporting Clube Patrício's corner Romão Santos fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Péter Mészáros quite easily take care of the ball. Igor Tudor hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jiang Gang in the 65th minute of play forced F.C. Paços de Ferreira's goalkeeper Péter Mészáros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 66th minute, José Bomba left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The F.C. Paços de Ferreira fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Sporting Clube Patrício's Ademar Azevedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Bomba in the 72nd minute of play. In the 75th minute, José Bomba made a precise shot to the right of Ademar Azevedo. Sporting Clube Patrício's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Ademar Azevedo came out of the goal in the 81st minute to try and stop a shot by F.C. Paços de Ferreira's José Bomba. But to his dismay, José Bomba quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Péter Mészáros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jiang Gang, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. F.C. Paços de Ferreira's Paulo Ferreira was substituted for Inácio Secco. Sporting Clube Patrício's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Romão Santos in the 87th minute. The corner led Sporting Clube Patrício's Romão Santos to fire away a dangerous shot which Péter Mészáros despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After 91 played minutes Sporting Clube Patrício got a freekick which was hit by Olaf Brataniec. After 92 minutes, José Bomba made it 4-1 with a short kick to the right side. Sporting Clube Patrício's Ademar Azevedo tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. For all the effort they put into the match, the Sporting Clube Patrício players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for F.C. Paços de Ferreira.
