Chidubem Korodo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rotimi Acholonu in the 7th minute of play. After 11 played minutes Kennington AFC got a freekick which was hit by Joel Onoja. 12 minutes into the match, RB Ethical's Humble Egah broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 14th minute, Patrick Tokumbo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The RB Ethical fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Patrick Tokumbo got free with Uzo Auyo in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Nwora Abel-Tariah fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Uzo Auyo having to interfere. Edafe Gishiwari's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Chidubem Korodo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. Patrick Tokumbo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Edafe Gishiwari might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Chidubem Korodo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Edafe Gishiwari ran back to his position shaking his head. 43 minutes into the match, Kennington AFC's Edafe Gishiwari sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Chidubem Korodo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Nwora Abel-Tariah had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

Kennington AFC's Chioke Egbuonu couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 54th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for RB Ethical. Patrick Tokumbo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nwora Abel-Tariah sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. RB Ethical's Chidubem Korodo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save RB Ethical from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Rotimi Acholonu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kennington AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Rotimi Acholonu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Chidubem Korodo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nwora Abel-Tariah scored 2-0 in the 70th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Uzo Auyo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 78 minutes into the match, Kennington AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Azu Aguele came free, but Uzo Auyo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 81 minutes into the match, Kennington AFC's Rotimi Acholonu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Chidubem Korodo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Edafe Gishiwari's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Chidubem Korodo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play. After 83 minutes, Bola Imeh mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kennington AFC and the RB Ethical players grew even worse after the yellow card. Humble Egah took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 84th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Uzo Auyo. Kennington AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Patrick Tokumbo struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Uzo Auyo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for RB Ethical. The supporters of RB Ethical booed when Kennington AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bola Imeh didn't get a good kick on the ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the Kennington AFC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense.
