An unexpectedly hard shot by Oyedeji Seyi in the 11th minute of play forced Caterham Valley's goalkeeper Nkiruka Abayomi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Blessing Alasela who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 16thth minute tested the skills of Nkiruka Abayomi when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 18 played minutes Hindley City got a freekick which was hit by Chikwado Eviparker. The audience thought a goal was coming when Blessing Alasela got free with Nkiruka Abayomi in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Nkiruka Abayomi made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Blessing Alasela sent off a good shot on target. If Oyedeji Seyi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Obiora Owotoki in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Anene Uduehi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind Caterham Valley's goalkeeper Nkiruka Abayomi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Nkiruka Abayomi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Oyedeji Seyi's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. Nkiruka Abayomi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oyedeji Seyi in the 43rd minute of the match. After 46 played minutes Hindley City got a freekick which was hit by Tobe Amaoka. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fola Kako during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Hindley City's Nkem Mbabaotu got a free kick in the 55th minute. Oyedeji Seyi took the ball and in the 60 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nkiruka Abayomi. Nkiruka Abayomi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Caterham Valley's Nkiruka Abayomi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oyedeji Seyi in the 69th minute of play. Nkiruka Abayomi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oyedeji Seyi in the 70th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Blessing Alasela managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hindley City's supporters rose to their feet, but Blessing Alasela was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nkiruka Abayomi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nkem Mbabaotu kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. 77 minutes into the match, Caterham Valley's Anny Oluwashikemi broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. If Udoka Oyeyemi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Okolocha Felix Abimbola's late challenge caught a Caterham Valley's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Okolocha Felix Abimbola helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Hindley City getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Okolocha Felix Abimbola hit a great ball. Udoka Oyeyemi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anene Uduehi having to interfere. When Hindley City's Blessing Alasela in the 84th minute got a chance for a shot 84th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
