Spectators: 6877 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1877, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Bo Maifata made the kick off which started today's match. Bo Maifata's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Iwobi Nwilene read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. Romanus Limu hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Pontefract's Erfan John Erhenede played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Okwudiliolisa Ahula in the 14th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Okwudiliolisa Ahula in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Erfan John Erhenede saved Pontefract from getting behind. Omeokachie Ayorinde recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 31 minutes into the match, Pontefract's goal looked a bit too open when Omeokachie Ayorinde came free, but Erfan John Erhenede reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 32 minutes into the game, Hayling Island's Okwudiliolisa Ahula nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Erfan John Erhenede made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Pontefract's Chiganu Udem shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 36th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Iwobi Nwilene but with some difficulty. Erfan John Erhenede made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Okwudiliolisa Ahula in the 39th minute of play. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Hayling Island's goalkeeper Iwobi Nwilene, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Bo Maifata came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Pontefract fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bo Maifata couldn't finish the play. Ahmadu Chinatu charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ahmadu Chinatu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ahmadu Chinatu kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. The Pontefract players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Hayling Island were winning 0-1.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Omeokachie Ayorinde got free with Erfan John Erhenede in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A hard shot 54 in the game by Okwudiliolisa Ahula from a close distance when the talented Erfan John Erhenede managed to make a qualified save. Pontefract's players were relieved. Omeokachie Ayorinde succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-3 in the 61st playminute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bo Maifata in the 69th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Iwobi Nwilene prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Okwudiliolisa Ahula in the 78th minute of play forced Pontefract's goalkeeper Erfan John Erhenede to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The corner ended in Bright Gbadehan almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Pontefract's Erfan John Erhenede did a great save. Okwudiliolisa Ahula fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erfan John Erhenede having to interfere. If Bo Maifata had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Omeokachie Ayorinde got free with Erfan John Erhenede in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the final whistle sounded Hayling Island left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Pontefract.
