Spectators: 6874 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1874, VIP seats: 0) Stamford Bridge's Taribo Adeaola started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Stamford Bridge's Alfred Omoduemuke got a free kick in the 2nd minute. 5 minutes into the match, Keyworth's goal looked a bit too open when Ekundayo Mbadiwe came free, but Nkemdilim Acholonu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nkemdilim Acholonu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ekundayo Mbadiwe's shot from short distance in the 8th minute. David Eyiboh recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eluemuno Gauyama in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Aribisala Adeleru saved Stamford Bridge from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Stamford Bridge's zone, David Eyiboh stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aribisala Adeleru came out of the goal and David Eyiboh tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Taribo Adeaola in the 16th minute of play forced Keyworth's goalkeeper Nkemdilim Acholonu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ekundayo Mbadiwe during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 18th minute, Ekundayo Mbadiwe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eluemuno Gauyama in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Aribisala Adeleru prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Aribisala Adeleru showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eluemuno Gauyama, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. In the 22nd match minute, Stamford Bridge was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Chikwendu Ginikanwa to maneuver through the defense. Eluemuno Gauyama's late challenge caught a Stamford Bridge's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eluemuno Gauyama helped the player get up and apologised. Eluemuno Gauyama hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. If Danlami Hashimu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Keyworth booed when Stamford Bridge was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ganiyu Olatokunbo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 38th minute, Akhiromen Olowole sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Stamford Bridge's Aribisala Adeleru didn't even have to move. In the 42nd minute, Ekundayo Mbadiwe got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Keyworth's Nkemdilim Acholonu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Taribo Adeaola in the 46th minute of play. After some careless play in the Keyworth defense, Ekundayo Mbadiwe kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nkemdilim Acholonu. The Keyworth fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nkemdilim Acholonu should have stopped the shot.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eluemuno Gauyama was the one to do the kick off. Aribisala Adeleru took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Eyiboh, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 56 minutes into the match, Ekundayo Mbadiwe had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nkemdilim Acholonu. Keyworth's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ekundayo Mbadiwe was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Ekundayo Mbadiwe who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 63rdth minute tested the skills of Nkemdilim Acholonu when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Nkemdilim Acholonu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Taribo Adeaola, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. A collision led to Keyworth getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Uzoma Omololu hit a great ball. 73 minutes into the match, Stamford Bridge's goal looked a bit too open when Eluemuno Gauyama came free, but Aribisala Adeleru reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. David Eyiboh scored 1-2 in the 75th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Aribisala Adeleru, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 78 minutes, Ganiyu Olatokunbo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Stamford Bridge and the Keyworth players grew even worse after the yellow card. Taribo Adeaola received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Nkemdilim Acholonu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Stamford Bridge players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Keyworth from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
